The Open Playbook is an open-source catalogue of curated DE&I recommendations, resources and case studies for employers that are aiming to increase inclusion and diversity within their teams. The UX isn't perfect - we currently use a free platform (Notion) and we are always looking for ways in which we can improve it! What is the Open Playbook?
An open-source catalogue of resources and case studies to support companies to increase inclusion and diversity in their tech teams.
- One of the pledges all TTC Signatories commit to is to share what works and what doesn’t. We use our platforms to bring together companies and intermediaries working on inclusion and diversity to share the interventions which are working for their company and we store these in our Open Playbook.
- The Open Playbook is not meant to be exhaustive, nor does the TTC create original content per se. The goal is to “join the dots”, i.e. to give an overview and signpost other resources.
- To refine the content for this version of our Open Playbook (a link to the original Open Playbook), we regularly hold hackathons with subject matter experts where several organisations are represented. The objective of our hackathons is to prioritise, refine and quality assure the recommendations. Please consider this as an evolving resource that signposts some of what's currently happening in specific areas and where you can go to learn more.
- And a word of warning! In the words of Nikki Humphrey, Senior Vice president of People at Virgin Atlantic, 'The worst thing you can do is to go and see what another organisation is doing and try and copy them because you think it’s the right thing to do'. At the TTC we agree with this advice and our recommendation is that, before trying to mirror what other businesses are doing, organisations use evidence to really understand what is going within their own business.
