Overview

The Sustainable Agricultural Foundation (SAF) is an NGO focused on promoting sustainable farming practices in Bangladesh. I worked as a full-stack developer, building a fast, responsive, and content-rich website that allows SAF to manage their extensive content library efficiently.

My Contribution

• Built the frontend using Next.js, ensuring responsive design and smooth user experience
• Developed the backend with headless WordPress to handle SAF’s content-heavy website efficiently
• Integrated Next.js frontend with WordPress REST API for dynamic content rendering
• Implemented reusable UI components and pages for blog posts, projects, events, and resources
• Deployed the full application on DigitalOcean, handling server setup, SSL, and optimization

🔹 Why Headless WordPress?

• SAF’s website is content-heavy with frequent updates
• Limited time to develop a custom feature-rich editor
• Headless WordPress allowed using WordPress as a CMS backend while delivering a fast, modern frontend via Next.js
• Easy for SAF staff to add/edit content without developer intervention
