Why is this database called small houses? The brands displayed here are from independent fragrance creators, but all small fragrance creators cannot be called independent perfumers.
Brand Name: Name of the Perfume House
Perfume Offered: Tells what type of perfume house it is
Is it a gourmands only brand (mostly gourmands)?
Or just a brand that offers gourmands (some gourmand options)?
Sweetness Level: Indicates
Diabetes - these are pure sugar gourmands such as Bianco Latte, Eclaire, Delizia di Marshmallow, etc. The equivalent of adding 5 pumps of syrup to one shot of espresso. Cloying.
2 Sugars - The maximum amount of sweetness a designer fragrance dares to add. Very sweet but still “palatable.” The standard amount of sweetener in a coffee shop latte. Cloying on a hot day.
Splenda - A fragrance that has a whisper of sweetness. The equivalent of eating fresh fruit. Not cloying.
Savory - Food notes other than sweets, it can be vegetables, booze, or bitter chocolate.
Use AI: As of the date of publishing does the brand use any AI. This section may easily become out of date as use of AI evolves.
No GenAI: No AI is used ever.
Yes GenAI: This brand has used AI at least once in advertisements, labels, etc.
Use Fragrance Oils: This category strictly refers to the use of white label dupe formulas or prefabricated oils such as those available through DOOP.
