Update: April-10, 2023

  1. Invite Subo the Survey Bot to your Discord server!
  2. Run the /draft ****command. The command accepts three inputs:
    1. Survey objective (mandatory): this is your prompt, where you define what you want to achieve with the survey, what you are trying to understand. Be as specific as possible. See examples below.
    2. Number of questions (optional): enter how long you would like the questionnaire to be (eg. enter 10 if you just want a 10-question survey or 1 if you just want to run a poll). If you leave this empty, Subo will request a 5-question survey
    3. Language: leave it blank to write the survey in the same language as in your Subo settings, or pick any other language you like.

  1. Wait a few seconds while Subo does its magic
  2. Review the draft created by Subo. Remember, it is only a draft! AI can help save time (especially with a great prompt), but humans still rule and this is your survey! So hit that Questionnaire button to make changes, remove questions, add new ones. Check question types and proposed answers. For more information, head to the tutorial about how to edit a questionnaire.

Examples of Prompts (”survey objective” in the /draftcommand)

<aside> 💡 If you have used AI tools like MidJourney or ChatGPT, you know how important prompts are if you want good results. The same goes with ‘survey objectives’ when using Subo. Give Subo as many details as you can about the objectives of your survey. The more details you give, the more likely it is that Subo will draft a good survey for you.

Here are a few examples of prompts that we’ve used with success. Our goal is to keep building a list of recommended prompts as we go. Do you have good prompts? Share them on the Support Server.
