Hi, I like reaching out to my friends on their birthdays but I don't want to be checking Facebook every day. I've been thinking about this problem for a while and I finally got around to making an app over Christmas break.

This app pulls in your friends birthdays from Facebook and your Contacts. You see the next week of birthdays.

This app is not polished and is very much in progress. If I get positive / constructive feedback with this launch, it'll motivate me to continue to improve the app 😅.

Chrome Extension — Import Facebook Birthdays

Facebook, in a noble effort to protect user's privacy, doesn't let apps export your friend list. So to get your Facebook friend's birthdays into the app, I made a Chrome Extension that will scrape the Facebook website.

1. Download Chrome extension .crx file
2. Go to chrome://extensions/ in Chrome
3. Make sure that "Developer Mode" is enabled in the top right
4. Drag the .crx file into the page to add the extension
5. Click on the Extension icon in the menu bar and hit "Options"
6. Sign in with Facebook
