Works best with installed Zoom App, not over Webbrowser. 1. Way: 2 ways to login: Open app, click "join Meeting", enter ID, confirm. (Do not select checkbox the boxes "don't connect to audio", "turn Off my video") 2. Way: Click on the Zoom Link we sent you. In your Browser, teher should pop up a window asking you if you want to open with the app: Click yes, there you are

Eventually, your Computer wants to confirm you, that Zoom is allowed to use your audio and video), please confirm. You should then see the waiting room of Sprachsalz.

📍How to have the best internet connection:

1. **Depends on your provider: Check the available speed, if you use video conferencing often, maybe it is worth to upgrade.

  1. Wireless ist good, but –  cable wired is better: (if you have the possibility to plug in to your Router an ethernet cable, do it. Mostly the connection is more stable!

  2. If on wireless, try to limit everything else what uses up your connection too; as well on your video conferencing device as on others (smartphones, tablets...), best to put them off Wireless.**

🎤During the Live session:

😁 You will see inside the Zooms stream following persons (please use conference mode, so you see all contributors)): Your personal Moderator and your actor, also the main moderation of the whole show. The Live Public is not in the Zoom stream, only on YouTube and Facebook. Please keep eye contact with your moderators or the Camera, so also your public will feel you better.

👀Please stay listening also during the translated parts, our live camera will now and them show you in the picture

⏰Readings Structure (in general)

1_Introduction main moderator Festival (Heinz D. heisl & Handpeter Düsi Künzler) (2-3 minutes) 2_Introduuction of your reading by your personal Moderator (max. 3 minutes) 3_Reading (35 Minutes maximum), including the german part. 4_the moderator will have a short talk with you, where we place the questions of our Spectators, they asked eventually in the chat 5_Byebye

😯Please do not have running (on another device for example) the youtube Stream simultaneously – or only in mute mode – as there will be a time delay and interference of sound! You can see the Live Version of your reading anytime afterwards on Youtube http://bit.ly/SprachTube or Facebook http://www.facebook.com/sprachsalz/

🎤 Try as good as possible, to eliminate every disturbing noise, of course also music.

💄Tips for looking good in video conferences

The appearance depends most on the basic settings (what kind of camera, computer): The best possible camera, extra sound, good lighted situation

Good micro is mandatory (many headsets are sufficient, but for more intensive work, I recommend a good micro (such as the Iphone Micro IRIG Lavalier)

A good camera is recommended: This is usually the case with newer laptops / computer. The advantage of an independent Web-camera can be a better camera perspective and available manual settings.

Good light: No back light (do NOT sit your back against the window), the eyes should be clearly visible, the window and/or lamp from front to side is usually sufficient, good daylight is mostly sufficient. Take care if you wear eyeglasses: can be reflecting depending on light angle.

Image: Make sure that you look into the camera at eye level, not from below (nostrils, strong chin, one quickly looks arrogant); If your Computer is to deep, rise it with a stack of books or similar!: do not from above too (you become small and inconspicuous), not too far away, not too close, see pictures below.
