Why am I doing this?

I've decided to undertake this task in order to show that not only am I a quick and versatile learner, I'm also a capable worker who doesn't need constant guidance.

I also want to better myself by creating obstacles to overcome. I'm uncomfortable with the idea of video taping myself and writing out my thought process, but it will be a valuable exercise in discomfort and being able to overcome my own mental roadblocks.

I'm experimenting with my own mind to see how I can learn without the guidance of another person. This experiment, if it works, will show that I am accountable to myself because I can dedicate myself to an extended learning journey without the influence of tests or grades.

Ultimately, I want to be able to demonstrate my willingness to do difficult things and endure discomfort in order to become accountable to myself and others who rely on me to utilize my knowledge.

What will I be teaching myself?

I’m picking primarily software tools that are used frequently in a corporate setting. Some of the tools I’ve picked out are:

I’ll be dividing work up into weeks, and will work daily on learning, documenting, and explaining what I’ve done.
