BOOK
The Elephant in the Brain is a book I have just finished reading. It is about the hidden motives behind our everyday actions and behaviours.
As rational and social primates, we tend to constantly express pretty motives to justify what we do, and hide or omit the more selfish, less-socially-accepted ones. This is especially the case due to the fact that we can't help but care about what other people think of us and we inherently need to feel part of a community, being highly rejective of social exclusion.
If you want to dig deeper into the arguments and valuable lessons from this book, you may want to read my book notes and summary here.
This is a daily posture-improving routine by AthleanX that helps counteract all the negative strain on our backs and shoulders caused by excessive poor posture when sitting. It does so by addressing movements that awaken and open up the thoracic spine, glutes, shoulder muscles, on a 30 minute interval throughout the time you spend sat. Below is the full routine recommended in the video.
This video by Yes Theory in collaboration with Google is an absolute masterpiece as far as I think. The quality is movie-like, the storytelling outstanding, the editing superb. It was quite emotional for me too.
