Hi! I'm Shubham Kumar, a passionate UX/UI design and development enthusiast. Currently pursuing my bachelor's degree at NIT Tiruchirappalli, I create projects that blend design with development. What started as an interest in design has grown into a passion for crafting meaningful user-centered experiences.
Beyond work, I love traveling and exploring new places. I spend my free time listening to music and taking photos. But my absolute favorite hobby is plane spotting, there's something magical about sitting near the runway and watching aircrafts take off and land!

Dear Jakub,
I hope you’re well. I wanted to inform you that, while the competency test required UX evaluations of two projects, I was only able to complete a detailed evaluation of the PkgZap project. This was due to a particularly packed college schedule and exams that happened to coincide with the timeline.
Personally, I believe it’s better to do one thing thoroughly than to spread efforts too thin and compromise on quality. I apologize for not fulfilling the entire requirement and understand that no exceptions can be made.
Thank you for your time, and I hope you find the attached report both useful and insightful.

I chose to work on PkgZap because it connects two things I care about: open-source software and Bitcoin. This platform helps software developers support each other by making it easy to send small payments for using each other's work.
The problem is simple: developers who create free, open-source software often don't get paid for their work. PkgZap fixes this by using Bitcoin's Lightning Network to automatically send small payments between developers when they use each other's tools. It's a simple and effective way to support open-source work.
Since I understand both Bitcoin and user-friendly design, I can help make PkgZap easier to use. I want to create a simple interface that any developer can use easily, even if they're new to Bitcoin or command-line tools.
This project is perfect for me because I can use my design skills to help the Bitcoin community and support an important open-source project.
PkgZap is a tool that helps developers financially support maintainers of open-source packages they use. Rather than functioning as a traditional funding platform, it acts as a micro-donation automation tool powered by the Bitcoin Lightning Network.
