The Director of Partnerships is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing partnership strategies to drive growth and enhance the company's market position. This position requires a strong blend of business acumen, relationship management skills and a deep understanding of the industry landscape. As the Director of Partnerships and Alliances, you will play a key role in developing and executing strategic partnerships to drive growth and enhance our market position. You will be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with potential partners, negotiating partnership agreements and managing ongoing alliances. The Director of Partnerships will identify, negotiate and manage strategic partnerships with external organisations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes and maximise revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Partnership Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Identify potential partnership opportunities and evaluate their strategic fit, market potential, and revenue impact.
  2. Partnership Identification and Evaluation: Identify and research potential partners, evaluate their capabilities and market position, and assess their compatibility with the company's goals and values. Conduct due diligence and feasibility studies to assess partnership viability.
  3. Negotiation and Contracting: Lead partnership negotiations, including structuring partnership agreements, defining key terms, and ensuring alignment of objectives and expectations. Collaborate with legal and other internal stakeholders to draft, review, and finalise partnership contracts.
  4. Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key partners, ensuring effective collaboration and ongoing engagement. Act as the main point of contact for partners, addressing their needs, resolving issues, and fostering trust and mutual success.
  5. Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth through partnerships by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop joint go-to-market strategies, co-marketing campaigns, and sales enablement initiatives.
  6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure partnership success and effectiveness. Regularly track and analyse partnership performance, providing timely reports to senior management, and making recommendations for optimisation and improvement.
  7. Market Analysis and Insights: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify emerging partnership opportunities. Stay informed about new technologies, products, and market developments that may impact partnership strategies.
  8. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and operations, to align partnership initiatives with overall business objectives. Ensure effective communication and coordination across departments to drive successful partnership execution.

Must haves:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  2. Proven experience in partnership management, business development, or a related role, preferably in a similar industry.
  3. Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and evaluate partnership opportunities aligned with strategic goals.
