Our project will allow for the creation of ecological DAOs. We aim to create tools that will allow for communities to come together to buy land for conservation, to reintroduce native species, or start a new farmers cooperative.
Gavin: I am a long-time software engineer specializing in code that humans interact with. I wrote the database and much of the utility UI for the Picasa photo management application, animation tools at DreamWorks, web and native mobile applications at Google and more. @gavindoughtie most places. I'm interested in platforms that enable permissionless innovation: the web, open source and now blockchain. I'm particularly excited by tools that enable positive and incentivized collective action without generating a power hierarchy in their wake.
Nick: I am a research fellow at the UC Berkeley Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity and a long-time open source contributor. I have contributed code and documentation to Juno, CosmWasm, Stargaze, and DAO DAO. I run a validator on Juno, Stargaze, and Oasis Network.

I began developing web3 applications (UI for smart contracts) in the beginning of August 2021 for the Hack Juno competition. I created a webapp for the cw3-fixed-multisig cw-plus CosmWasm smart contract and a webapp for an early version of DAO DAO's smart contract. My work on these projects for Hack Juno was the starting point for DAO DAO's webapp UI repository code.
