1. Getting started 📖

The iMapper is an easy tool to use and you will have all the experience you need after a few scans. We will guide you step by step to make it your favorite tool. Follow the boarding process below, it will take you 20 minutes :

Make your first scan (15min)

Position the iMapper on the tripod
1. The foot of the iMapper goes directly into the plate as on the photo, you do not need to use the adapter.
b. Unfold the entire camera tripod (including the center tube, which unfolds into 2 segments).

c. Put the tripodhorizontallyl. Use the round bubble levell provided to check that the iMapper is horizontal (don’t use the level on the tripod it is not accurate enough. If you want to verify if the iMapper is well positioned you can start it and rotate it rapidly (p.4 in the Instruction Guide). When it is in the right position stop the iMapper and restart it.

<aside> ☝ If walls are vertical (it’s not the case if the walls are out of plumb), the error due to a not perfect horizontality is not that important (+3mm if you are above the horizon line of 10 cm at 3m distance).

d. verify that all the screws of the tripod are tightened well so that there won’t be error during the scan.

e. verify that the SD card is well inserted into your iMapper. You can use different SD cards from the one provided (format in FAT32 and smaller than 16 GB)
