Analyze PDFs and Images

Save time and quickly understand the main points of lengthy documents without reading through every page.

• Upload a PDF or image to your Notion workspace and click it’s six-dot icon to “Ask AI”

  • Or, upload files to Notion AI chat directly

• Ask questions about the content in the PDF, like having it summarize a proposal and extract the most important information.

• Then, insert that content into your Notion page

With access to PDFs and images, Notion AI can help you quickly understand and take action on items that are difficult to parse otherwise.

Your team might do all of their work in Notion, but if you’re working with clients or vendors, you likely still rely heavily on PDFs to share information. Notion AI can look through PDFs from vendors and analyze on your behalf and connect that analysis back to pages in your workspace.

• After extracting insights from a PDF, ask Notion AI to compare it to your requirements by mentioning the page where the requirements live.

• Consider asking Notion AI to format it’s analysis according to a certain template that lives elsewhere in your workspace by mentioning that page.

• Review the comparison to identify strengths, weaknesses, or gaps in the proposal.

Example: "How does this proposal compare to the key requirements listed in [localization vendor search]?"

With AI that’s knowledgable about the context of your workspace, PDFs become less cumbersome, and a lot more valuable.
