Don’t say

• Can I bother you for 5 min?
• Can I take up 5 min of your time?
• Can I ask a favor, it will just be 5 min?

Say this instead

• I have something exciting to tell you, do you have 5 min?
• I want to share with you an updates, got 5 min?
• I need to talk to you about XYZ, it will take just 5 min.
• I need to grab you for 5 min to talk about…
• After this next meeting I need 5 min of your time.
