Zigzagging
Zigzagging is when you are answering the questions but dogging the real answers at the same time. Zigzagging language sounds like:
- Great question, let me give that some thoughts.
- Wow, great idea. someone write that down so we can do some discovery.
- Well, that’s one way to frame the question.
Direct
Answering the tough questions straight on:
- Yes, we did make that decision and here’s why.
- No, we’re not going this direction and here’s how we got to that…
Other options:
- That was a tough decision to make but here is how we go there…
- To be clear about our thought process (our decision making process)
