Zigzagging

Zigzagging is when you are answering the questions but dogging the real answers at the same time. Zigzagging language sounds like:

• Great question, let me give that some thoughts.
• Wow, great idea. someone write that down so we can do some discovery.
• Well, that’s one way to frame the question.

Direct

Answering the tough questions straight on:

• Yes, we did make that decision and here’s why.
• No, we’re not going this direction and here’s how we got to that…

Other options:

• That was a tough decision to make but here is how we go there…
• To be clear about our thought process (our decision making process)
