- Begin with praise.

- I’m glad you mentioned this.
- Speak slowly and user fewer words.
- End your sentences with a statement. This will not allow any unnecessary questions.
- Why don’t we...
- Let’s do this...
- Speak in bullet points.
- I need 4 things from you. One, do _____; two, get ____ done; three, follow-up with ____ and lastly, make sure to _____.
Never assume, make an ass out of both of us.
