About Jasper

Jasper worked in different Taiwan and Hong Kong media companies as a journalist, program producer, and executive for nearly 30 years. He was the deputy executive editor-in-chief of the Apple Daily(蘋果日報), which belonged to the HK Next Media Group (香港壹傳媒). He is now a consultant of the chairman of a new TV news channel, Mirror TV (鏡電視).

How to build up self-confidence before asking?

• Mindset: It is a relationship, not an interview
  • Even one question can build up a relationship
  • Always better face-to-face

事前準備

• A lot of research and preparation

同理心

• 說大人則藐之，勿視其巍巍然 by 孟子。
  • (Speak to a noble person, despise him, and don't take his prominent position and power into consideration)
• Read the materials as most as you can, then throw them away

視現場狀況, 不要按部就班

• At scene:
  • Asking according to what situation you are

從生活中的問題開始, 建立情感

• Talk starts from some tiny things. Caring interviewee's real life is always better than caring issues
