The traditional way is with cream, but I prefer it with butter, as I find it to be less messy and so much richer.

I first grease the tin (I used a bread/ loaf tin). Then I layer it with parchment paper. make sure the piece of parchment paper is too big for the pan, as we will later fold it over the pavé.

Peel your potatoes. Let them sit in some salted water to stop them from oxidizing. Add the rest of the butter in to a pan and heat it up till its all melted. We do not want to brown the butter, just melt it. Then remove the pan from the stove/ heat and let cool down.
