Welcome to the Documentation Website for the Post Process Pro Pack from the Unreal Engine Marketplace.

Basics

First, we need to understand how this Asset Pack works. It contains the Main Material for each type of Post Processing Effect. From that Main Material, there’s an Instance with a bunch of parameters to play with, such as Roughness, Opacity, or even Shadow or Outline color. Also, it has some pattern and noise textures that you can change with your own textures, of course.

How can I add this pack to my project?

To start, you’ll need a project with a Post Process Volume in a scene (just look for it in the Visual Effects category, drag it to your scene and scale it)

You have to migrate the ‘Post_Processing_FX’ folder (inside the Content folder) to your Content folder in your project.

Once you have done that and you added the P.P. volume to your scene, click the volume and find in the ‘Rendering Features’ category (right panel), the option called ’Post Process Materials’ and click on the plus (+) icon.

Aftewards, click ‘Choose’ and select ’Asset reference’.

A new window will appear and hit ‘None’. Later, just drag the material effect you want or select it from the list while clicking ‘None’.

Make sure to select the Instance because this one contains the parameters adjusted (They are called MI_EffectName_PP).
