we took a bus to pompeii where we got a tour. it was a really hot day. we saw a theater, a house from a rich family, a brothel, and the forum. it was really cool to see all the ruins and ancient buildings they’ve excavated. we only saw like 2% of the whole city. i didn’t realize the city was so big until we saw the diagram in the museum we went to after the tour. our tour guide fabio was awesome. he was funny and almost got into a couple fights with people. he kept calling us his family and saying “mamma mia”. when we went to the museum, we looked at greek statues, stolen pieces, and a recreation of pompeii. the miniature version was cool to look at because you could see where they hadn’t excavated yet. we also saw the remains of a family, dog, and man and women while at pompeii, which was cool too. for dinner, we went to a place where i ordered strawberries and ice cream. starr had a veggie pizza that was so good; probably the best pizza i’ve ever had. afterwards, we went to a bar and had some drinks. we got there 1 hour before close, so when they started closing, we went to a store and got a bottle of limoncello. we hung out in our room, finishing the bottle and chatting. once everyone left, we went to bed.
