Software Engineer, Backend at Pioneer Medical Initiative
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team at a nonprofit organisation dedicated to advocating for inclusive healthcare solutions in rural communities. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing REST APIs for our digital healthcare solution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain REST APIs for our digital healthcare solution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements and design scalable solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Python, Django, and FastAPI
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing codebase
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in backend development
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in developing REST APIs using Python and Django framework
- Proficiency in FastAPI or a similar web framework
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git
