Working with team members in other time zones

Set expectations within your team regarding your typical working hours, time off, breaks in your typical workday, etc. Set your google calendar work times so that people can easily see when you expect to be awake and working.

Looking to overlap with a team member's differing work times? Consider a later or earlier start one day a week, to overlap with other time zones.

Asynchronous work is always our default and should be prioritized.

Be patient. Unless this is an urgent matter keep in mind our first approach is async, meaning a person does not have to be online and answer your message immediately.

Keep in mind that some countries and/or regions have different typical work week schedules. For example, in the Middle East, many employees work Sunday-Thursday. A great resource for this is Workweek & weekends across the world.
