Oysterable Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) discloses the personal information processing policy it has established in order to protect and process rapidly and smoothly the personal information of information subjects in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act when providing HERO8 and related service.

The personal information processing policy is enforced beginning December 10, 2020.

Article 1 Purpose of processing personal information

The Company processes personal information for the purposes described below. The processed personal information is not to be used for purposes other than those described below; in the event that the purposes of use are changed, the necessary measures are taken by obtaining the corresponding consent in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

1.1 Personal information is processed for purposes of confirming membership and intention to join of the managed members in the website, identifying and certifying entities for membership service provision, maintaining and controlling membership qualification, preventing illegitimate service use, confirming the consent of legal representatives when processing personal information of children below 14 years, sending various notices and notifications, and dealing with difficulties.

1.2 Processing civil complaints

Personal information is processed for the identification of civil complainants, confirmation of civil complaints, contact and notification for fact-finding, and notification of processing result only.

1.3 Goods or service provision

Personal information is processed for material delivery, service provision, sending of contracts and bills, content supply, tailored service provision, entity identification, age certification, and charge payment and collection.

1.4 Use for marketing and advertisement

Personal information is processed for new service development and tailored service provision, event and advertisement information supply and participation opportunity provision, service provision and advertisement insertion to meet demographic properties, confirmation of validity of service, and statistics on access frequency or members’ service use.

Article 2 Period for processing and keeping personal information

2.1 The Company processes and keeps personal information within the period for keeping and using personal information in accordance with legislation or as agreed to by the information subjects.
