How does Jagua work?
- Similarly to Henna, Jagua stains the top layer of our skin. After the Jagua gel has dried and is ready to be washed off, the stain will originally appear as though it has faded. Don't fret! This is normal, your tattoo will develop and darken after 24-48 hours after washing. Oxidation occurs and darkens your tattoo as it is exposed to the air. The tattoo lasts for 10-14days and fades till it disappears completely.
How long do I have to leave the fresh Jagua ink on my skin?
- 30 mins for the ink to be dry to touch.
- Minimum of 3 hours before washing off thoroughly.
Will my skin tone affect the darkness of the stain?
- (After developing) Jagua Ink tends to appear deep blue, close to black on Darker skin tones, and navy blue on Paler skin tones.
Will it hurt?
- Nope! This is a painless process as we only apply the ink on top of the skin.
Will the placement of my tattoo affect its lifespan?
- Places with thicker skin tend to hold the ink for longer periods of time as compared to thinner areas.
- Places on the skin which are prone to friction and/or sweat may make the ink fade off quicker than usual as well.
What if I leave the Jagua Ink on longer than 3 hours? Can I leave it on overnight?
