Our interview process is transparent and straightforward. We respect your time: the entire process takes only five hours total and we won't continue the process if at any time it doesn't make sense to.
The process is the same for both remote and on-site candidates.

Technical Phone Screen
- 60-minute video chat, giving you a chance to find out more about Otis, and for us to find out more about your work experience and technical skills.

Take Home Project + Written Exercise
- A project that should take about 60 minutes to complete. You'll be given specs/mockups and starter code, and you'll be building a couple features
- Brief written answers to a few questions, about a page total of answers

Team Interviews
- Architecture (1hr) - deep dive into designing and building a technical system
- Coding (1hr) - pair program on a coding exercise together, using your take home project as a base
- Values (45min) - allows you to meet other people on the team to determine culture fit for both sides
- One on one (15min) - allows you to get to chat with someone in a similar role as the one you're applying for
- Please note that out of respect for time and transparency, we have a policy of ending the on-site interview process if at any point it doesn't make sense to continue
