Overview

We don't tack linkbuilding onto our work like it's some kind of red-headed stepchild that doesn't take any thought or planning.

And we don't ask our team to build links to a bunch of bullshit articles that no one cares about.

At Optimist, the Linkbuilding Strategist is plugged directly into our client content strategy process. They have a seat at the table from the very beginning and they help us shape and direct our work to make sure that it will put us in a position to achieve our client's goals.

Strong Preference for Full-Time Freelancers (i.e., not working around a day job)

The right candidate will play 3 critical roles:

  1. Linkbuilding Strategy
  2. Linkbuilding Outreach
  3. Linkbuilding Reporting

Linkbuilding Strategy

The Linkbuilding Strategist is the master of all linkbuilding campaigns and playbooks.

Given a goal, they are able to plan and scope an end-to-end linkbuilding campaign that's backed by research and built on proven frameworks and tactics.

Along with the strategy team, the Linkbuilding Strategist conducts research and competitive analysis, brainstorms specific linkbuilding campaigns, validates those ideas, and owns the client-specific linkbuilding strategy on a quarterly basis.

The right candidate understands that linkbuilding is both art and science.

They're able to build on data-backed strategies but also develop creative ideas for creating specific linkable assets, un-ignoreable outreach strategies, and other tactics to help us achieve our goals.
