Program Overview and Key Figures 🔑

Our next cohort kicks off on July 12th, 2022. The power of this program is its community, and like any community, you get what you put in. Fellows get the most out of the program when they put in a minimum time commitment of 90 minutes per week, split across sessions, masterminds, and 1-1s with other fellows, to fully leverage the program. Most sessions are recorded so you can watch asynchronously if you cannot attend live.

ODCT’s annual membership fee is $2990.

🗓️ 4 Sessions a Month

Our sessions are comprised of fireside chats, deep dives, office hours, roundtables, and panel discussions for an hour each week.

✨ Curated Connections

Curated connections are monthly hand-picked matches from our community curators based on interests and topics provided by Fellows.

🧠 Masterminds

Mastermind Groups are a rare opportunity to build a network of trusted peers within ODCT to go deeper into problem-solving together.

🪅 Networking

Whether it be a virtual social or an IRL happy hour, we come together as a community once a quarter to network.

On Deck Slack & Community Platform 🌐

Joining ODCT gives you access to our Slack workspace and On Deck Community Platform. We have a world-class product team that is building tools for our community. Our Community Platform is a tool where you can browse Fellows in all OD programs, watch recorded sessions, find over $850k in ODCT perks, discover and share your projects and ideas, schedule 1:1s, and much more!

Who is a fit for ODCT? 🗣️

Successful ODCT candidates have world-class experience in Climate Tech, entrepreneurship, or deep knowledge in the climate world. Much of the value of On Deck comes from the network and peer-to-peer connections, and we look for candidates who are eager to actively contribute to a growing community.

We prioritize people with a bias for action. This means we look for those making or looking to make an impact now, whether that’s through the building, operating, advising, investing, organizing, and more.

Lastly, we look for individuals who show a "spirit of service". Community is the core value of ODCT and our fellows live by the idea of giving 2x more than they hope to receive. We’ve seen that when everyone does that, magic happens.

What happens during my membership? 🚢

✨ Each cohort goes through an onboarding experience focused on getting to know your fellow Fellows. We offer an engaged community and peer learning environment of world-class Climate Tech talent. During these weeks, Fellows will get their first Mastermind groups, attend socials, experience ODCT Signature Sessions, and more! There will also be ongoing Slack conversations, and access to our On Deck directory - both of which Fellows have told us are the most valuable part of the Fellowship!

❣️ We will have many different options for fellows to engage with, and we do not expect anyone participates in everything - however we do expect each Fellow to put aside 90 minutes for ODCT per week to make the most of it all. We suggest that 60 minutes are spent learning through synchronous/asynchronous programming & 30 minutes are spent on community building.

Is Build for Climate continuing? 🐻

Build for Climate was an experiment we ran when On Deck’s accelerator first started, while the Climate Tech fellowship is our flagship program. Build for Climate went super well (165 participants, 50 business ideas & over 30 startups pitched in our final showcase), but we think our original model that focuses more on diverse experts meeting and helping each other makes a larger impact in the overall climate space than Build for Climate, which was more narrowly focused on participants starting ventures together (although that often happens as a byproduct of ODCT!). For that reason, new ODCT cohorts will follow our flagship model.

Participating in ODCT Internationally 🌐

Given the global nature of this community, managing many events across multiple time zones can be tricky. The majority of live sessions will be between 10am - 3pm ET but recordings will be available to fellows at any time.
