We created the Access Fund to ensure an accepted candidate’s financial background or circumstance are not a barrier to participate in our programs. We are particularly focused on growing representation from underrepresented groups in technology and from parts of the world where opportunities are limited. To date, On Deck has provided more than 700 scholarships across our programs. For 2021, we have committed to match, dollar-for-dollar, the first $1,000,000 in contributions made to the Access Fund. The Access Fund is managed through a partnership with Impact Investing Charitable Foundation, Inc., a United States 501(c)(3) public charity (U.S. EIN: 47-3574130). All donations go to the Foundation, and 100% of all donations to the Access Fund go toward scholarships. On Deck covers all administrative costs. If you'd like to learn more about Impact Investing Charitable Foundation, Charity Navigator gave them a very high rating and included a profile description.
Additionally, to simplify online giving for our donors, On Deck has a partnership with Overflow to process online donations. This allows for contributions to go directly to the Foundation. Overflow was founded by On Deck Founder Fellowship alumni Vance Roush (ODF2) and Kyle Woumn (ODF3).
