What the extension does
Warp: Peripheral Speed Reader is a Chrome extension that helps you speed read web content by displaying text in highlighted chunks. It works entirely within your browser.
Data we collect
We collect anonymous usage analytics via Google Analytics 4 (Measurement Protocol) to understand how the extension is used. This includes:
- A randomly generated identifier (not linked to your identity)
- Reading session events: reading mode (focus/context), whether you read an article or a selection, reading speed (words per minute), and whether you reached 90% of an article
We do not collect:
- Any text you read or paste into the extension
- Browsing history or page URLs
- Personally identifiable information (name, email, IP address, etc.)
- Cookies or cross-site tracking data

- Your reading preferences (speed, display mode, words per chunk) are saved locally using Chrome's built-in storage API and synced across your devices if you are signed into Chrome. This data never leaves your browser/Chrome sync.
- Analytics data is sent to Google Analytics. No personal data is included in these requests.
