About me


Growing up in food-centric Melbourne, Australia, I was bound to become food obsessed! After studying fine art and working as a fashion stylist for many years, I realised that ā€˜real lifeā€™ wasnā€™t for me - I longed to be traveling and skiing as these are two of my great passions. I accepted a job with Y.S.E. in Val dā€™isere, undertook their intensive four week chef training program and worked the winter in one of their most luxurious chalets. They helped me realise that food was my other great infatuation in life. Since, I have returned to Y.S.E every year for the last five years as a chalet chef, as well as training the new chalet girls and chefs on hosting, cleaning, efficiency and organisation. It is a joy to work in the alps in winter and cook breakfast, afternoon tea and a four course dinner each day for my weekly guests.

For the last four years I have spent the summer seasons working as a private chef across France, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom. Each summer I base myself in Aix en Provence and travel to clients holiday homes all over Europe to cook delicious and elegantly presented food for the duration of their vacation, source the very best produce from local markets, and ensure the kitchen is always clean and organised. I pride myself on always working hard, and striving to be the best chef I can be. To me, working as a private chef, rather than a chef in restaurants, is so much more fulfilling as it is more creative, and much more personal. As a private chef cooking simply beautiful food is obviously important, but so is your own presentation, your organisation, knowledge and eye for detail, as well as the atmosphere you create for your clients. I have been lucky to build a great relationship with my regular clients, who I return to cook for each year.

Food has now become my life - when I am not cooking I am scouring instagram and websites for new and interesting recipes, devouring my collection of cookbooks or researching new techniques or plating ideas. I love to talk about food too, and always willing to share my knowledge with my clients, show them what I am cooking, or even run hands on cooking classes.

Having spent so much time living and working in France I have become a ā€˜French living specialistā€™; I am very familiar with the best local markets across Provence, the Luberon and Toulouse, I speak French to a high level, know the seasonal produce and itā€™s availability, and I also have a car in France which can be used for jobs and an international drivers licence. I know where to find the best truffles, fois gras, Provence rosĆ© and flakiest croissants. Should you be visiting, let me be your food guide full of insider secrets!
