Nandi Cowry NFT Design Community Call
Nandi Cowry is a collection of artistically designed royal & warrior Nandi NFTs. They are each unique digital collectibles, living on the carbon negative Celo blockchain as ERC-721 tokens, and hosted on IPFS. They are also what is now widely called "provably-rare," as they are built from individual attributes with varying levels of rarity.
The whole collection is the work of @SindisoNyoni, in his signature hand drawn colorful style, using Adobe Illustrator and Procreate. You can check out his coin selected for the centenary edition of South Africa, commemorating Nelson Mandela. It is currently sold out, but several pieces can be found for sale on the secondary market.
Our intention with this project is at the root of changing the way that Black creators and cultural institutions are funded. We are able to achieve this change by raising capital from our community through leveraging the blockchain, and reinvesting the resources into our best and brightest; all of whom are selected by the community. The Nandi Cowry community, and the Nandi marketplace itself, is rooted in 4 core values:
