For this particular project I’ve been tasked to contribute to the design and creation of useful, engaging and easy to use experiences with a view to have a seamless experience for the procurement and distribution of all types of land product, in line with best practice user experience standards.
Contributing to the development of detailed experience designs from project inception, through to build and launch.
Conducting user research activities: interviews, contextual enquiries, A/B testing, surveys and metrics analysis.
Contributing to the creation of UX deliverables including personas, user journeys, task flows, information architectures, prototypes, wireframes, mock-ups and interactive prototypes.
Designing of digital interfaces to embody core user experience principles whilst balancing the needs of customers and the business.
Conducting heuristic reviews of existing interfaces and document recommendations. Ultimately, creating both functional and appealing features that address our business needs.
Major Capital project — a system replacement was due, all the business requirements have been collated and validated in the past years, and it was truly into Execution mode. As the UX Lead, I was responsible to ensure that the users were at the centre of what the team was designing and delivering, facilitating ideation workshops to gather the big vision of the product and help the delivery team to plan its delivery. As part of this role, I was also responsible to create prototypes and test with end users to marry their needs to the product’s features and functions. Acting as the UI Designer, I also applied all the findings and brand guidelines to the interface, ensuring the final product is not only beautiful but useful and usable.
Minor Capital Digital Transformation — a new function has been established, and part of its promise was to have the front-liners at the centre of its operations. Because of the broad footprint and variance of the roles, it’s paramount to understand who these people are and how they work. Leading the UX front for this project, I was working closely with the people on the field doing UX research, mapping their journeys, understanding their digital behaviours to then design for their needs and ways to improve their performance while on the field. This is a 100% mobile work that will require lots of testing and listening to make sure what we will deliver will be useful and easy to use to them all.
This particular Australian government agency was looking into getting to know their users in-depth to be able to design a better public facing website. As the UX Lead on this project it was my responsibility to respond to the RFP, liaise with the client and then build the team on the budget constrained by the project.
When on the ground I led a team of 2 Avanade staff, working on the UX and Ideation workshops planning. Part of the delivery of this project was to coach a team of 3 members from the department so they could keep researching after this particular project ended.
We took on 3 cities where we engaged with 6 service providers being able to interview over 80 people face-to-face and contextual inquiry 20 tasks over 100 times in person giving us huge insights on where were the pain points and frustrations were stopping users to take advantage of the website.
During this process we identified 8 user champions per city and then brought them together for a series of Ideation workshops where pain points were morphed into findings, then desires to then become prioritised features to be implemented on the next release of the website. All the knowledge acquired during this 8-week project were transferred through a digital report containing: research techniques, user profiles, user flows, findings and features. And to finish the engagement I created an iterative presentation where the guests could walk through the report and further investigate using their mobile devices or the supplied tablets.
With over 30 years in the Australian market, this Brisbane-born company was looking into moving from the publishing industry into the digital universe.
My role here was to help drive the User Experience on a web-based trip planner, from inception to visual design I was lucky enough to work alongside the Head of Digital throughout the product strategy and product development.
First identifying who the users are, how they interact with the brand and similar products helped the business to get powerful insights on what the Minimum Viable Product should look like so it can be tested and released in its early stages - minimizing risk and potentiating the opportunities for change.
Creating the user personas, detailing the product strategy and getting the message across to the senior management team I was then offered the possibility of extending my engagement and managing the experience on every other digital element within the company. From mobile apps to the trip planner, every aspect of the experience is now created or reviewed by me ensuring that the user is always at the centre of everything that is designed bringing a consistent and exciting experience to them.

On this Operations Portal project I worked as UI/UX design lead for one of Queensland’s leading coal seam gas explorer and producer.
I was responsible for stakeholder engagement and alongside the business raised the requirements so the production team could have a better visibility of its production in real time and starting to act pro-actively. Being also responsible for creating prototypes, high-fidelity compositions and the look and feel for the application following the corporate brand guidelines.
Lastly, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a team of on and offshore developers so the transition to the real product could occur seamlessly.
