Overview


Animation is more than just moving pictures at a stiff pace, or redrawing a shape across a page to mimic movement. Several fundamental guidelines have helped animators add life and character to their work since the golden age of hand drawn animation. These will add nuance and character to your animations, be it a short film, advertisement or game animation. Follow the module to go through each of the 12 principles and create an elevated animation at the end.

Create a ball bounce animation for each of these instances. We've provided clips of each ball bounce for reference, But feel free to make your own. This exercise helps you understand timing and spacing, which is a crucial principle in animation, and the video below explains the concept in detail.
