Introduction

Welcome to the Customer Advocate Challenge. The purpose of this exercise is to give you an idea of what it's like to be a Customer Advocate at Mimo. And it's a great way for us to see if you can identify issues and communicate appropriately with our users.

Fingers crossed!

Step 1

Get the Mimo app for Android or iOS and complete the free content of the HTML Basics section of the Learn to Code track (from Discovering HTML and Tags to Building Lists). Pay close attention to the style and voice of the content. This is how we communicate.

If you want to work with us, it’s very important that you have the app on your phone and use it. If you can see yourself using the app, continue reading. If not, this role is not a perfect fit.

Step 2

Now that you’ve used the app some more, what would you improve? Tell us what ideas come to your mind when you use Mimo.

Step 3

It’s time to get your hands dirty. Please answer the three emails below.

Be as friendly and helpful as possible but try to stay out of a back-and-forth dialogue. You'll be able to answer most of the questions after using the app for a bit. If you can't figure out what to answer by using the app yourself, make an educated guess.

Email 1:

Hi!

My name is Frank and I have been programming since I was a little kid. I am already building real world projects myself, but would love to strengthen my skills.

I think Mimo is just amazing. I really loved the beginning courses which are offered for free and would love to explore more, I would love to explore it all!

I love physics and CS, I spend at least an hour a day learning them and making things and I would love to study them both!

As I am still in high school, I don’t have a salary and thus cannot buy premium subscription for Mimo. I would love to share Mimo with my friends and people who I know, because I really enjoy it and think it is the best CS learning tool made. Do you offer any student discount to help me learn more?

Regards,

Frank
