Here is a guide for setting up CHORUS using Autocode.

First, go to https://autocode.com/metalabel/apps/chorus/ and click “Install”.

Create App

After creating an account on Autocode, create a name for the project. (You can change the name that appears on Discord later).

Connecting Discord and Twitter Accounts

Next, follow the steps to connect both Discord and Twitter accounts. You will need to have admin-level permissions for the connected Discord.

Setting The Parameters

💡 Use the actual emoji symbol (i.e.: ) , not the Discord shorthand (i.e. :white_circle:)

💡 If using a custom emoji, use the ID of the custom emoji. You should be able to find this by running \\:emojiname: in your server.

Discord Channels

In the bot setup, you will be asked to provide DISCORD_CHANNELS. This can be one channel or many. Add channels ID in a comma-separated list.

The bot will listen only to reactions made in the defined channels. Be mindful of who has access to these channels – we recommend limiting access based on Discord roles.

Reaction emoji

The TWEET_REACTION_EMOJI accepts the ID for custom emoji reactions.

Reaction threshold

TWEET_REACTION_THRESHOLD can be set to define the number of reactions for the defined TWEET_REACTION_EMOJI required in order for a Discord message to be tweeted.
