In Q3 2021, we conducted an org-wide survey to understand our team's access and uptake of COVID-19 vaccination. ****We are excited to share that over 67% of our team is fully vaccinated as of September 2021, and we expect this to increase to 76% of the team by December-end. We will be taking this data into account as we revisit our travel and hub policies and see how best to update them to support our work & impact while also keeping in mind safety and wellbeing. Note that as a global health organization, we strongly encourage all teammates with access to COVID-19 vaccines to get vaccinated at the earliest opportunity they have.
We will continue to share updates on how our response and internal policies are evolving. Medic is committed to our values throughout the pandemic and will prioritize the humanity of our teammates and their needs. ****
All Medic hub offices closed as of March 23 2020 and remain closed until further notice. Teammates across the organization are requested to work from home and follow the national guidelines. If you do not have the ability to work from home productively, please speak to People Operations and your manager to see how we can help. Local teammates may only work from our hubs if they have already been fully vaccinated or have obtained approval from your in-country Admin Officer and @Regina Mutuku.
Our Internal Ops team is introducing additional online activities, social time, and spaces for us to connect while our team has gone fully remote, to help support wellness during this time

We continue to offer CEO office hours twice a week in case any ideas, questions, or concerns come up in between the updates we share team-wide.
We are communicating about relevant COVID news and our support for partners on Slack at #covid-general.
As we make our way through the second year of this pandemic, COVID continues to affect the communities where we work and live, and we know that many of us are grappling with isolation, loss, grief, illness, and lack of childcare. At Medic, we continue to closely monitor and evaluate how our policies (existing & new) can best support teammates.
International travel has resumed from 1st January 2022. We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will update all teammates accordingly in the event that this changes.
For all work-related travel, please see the travel policy and process. All travel requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and deemed to be essential if it is necessary to our continued operations, deliverables, and impact. Any teammates traveling must read and agree to the terms on the guidelines below:
We maintain our policy that no one at Medic should travel any time or anywhere they feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Please speak to your manager if this is the case.
