Restoran.kz is the largest service for booking tables and ordering banquets in Kazakhstan
The audience is restaurant administrators. 20 — 32 years old, mostly female.
The goal is to get all 152 big restaurants to buy paid subscription through showing the usefulness of the service
I was in charge of product design: blending user needs with business goals, defining product goals, ui/ux, prototyping, user testing, helping the team of developers (frontend, backend, mobile), interviews, sales team communication
Biggest constraint was time — if we did not have enough paid subscription within four months the company could not sustain it self.
Clients didn't see usefulness of the product. With the sales team we decided that we should show how the product helped restaurants attract customers.
We came up with theory that statistics would be an important tool for confirming the usefulness of the service — restaurant administrators should see that a lot of guests get to know restaurant through the service.
Before starting work, I researched competitors in the current market and other markets (the product will be scaled). I researched all similar services. Found out how they show available data and why.
After that I conducted several interviews with restaurant owners to know what they would like to see.
