MapOn allows you to import data directly from Google Sheets and Notion using shareable links. This makes your data import fast and convenient, eliminating manual entry and ensuring your map data is always up-to-date.

Getting Data from Google Sheets

  1. Open your Google Sheet
  2. Click the "Share" button in the top right corner
  3. Click "Change to anyone with the link"
  4. Ensure the permission is set to "Viewer"
  5. Click "Copy link"

Getting Data from Notion

Notion is a flexible workspace where you can organize location information or project lists into pages or databases. MapOn can read this content and convert it into map data. Learn more about Notion 👉notion.so

  1. Open the Notion page or database you want to share
  2. Click the "Share" button in the top right corner
  3. Change to "Anyone on the web with link" option
  4. Ensure the permission is set to "Viewer"
  5. Click "Copy link"

Use the Link in MapOn

Once you have copied the shareable link from either Google Sheets or Notion:

  1. In MapOn, navigate to the "Create new maps"
  2. After choosing a visualization type, select the data source: "G Sheet" or "Notion."
  3. Paste the copied link into the input field.
  4. For Google Sheets, you might specify a particular sheet. For Notion databases, you might select a specific database.
  5. Click "Next" or "Preview data". MapOn will then process the data for your mapping projects.
