Today, 🔗 Manalinks V2 are the accepted way of sending mana around. These are good for certain use cases (namely, sending mana to someone who may or may not have an account), but not good for actually transacting between known users of Manifold

Vision

• Venmo-like system to send or receive mana to any other Manifold user
• attached to a message of some kind

Appendix/case study: Rachel Weinberg paying Austin M$500 for a bet

Rachel: "How do I send you money?”

• Started by going to Austin's profile
• Then went to Rachel's
• Looked at "..." menu
• Then went to Help

(in the end, Austin had to direct her to Manalinks page)

Other issues:

• Mobile app QR code scanner didn't deeplink correctly
• Rachel: "Are you going to get another $500 from me?"
