Our current work space.
Pros
- Bigger community of people there including Momentum folks and other EA-aligned individuals
- Already set up. Includes furniture, maid service etc. Huge time savings
- Much larger communal spaces (lounge, kitchen, meeting rooms)
- Lots of restaurants nearby
- Next to the Bart which is sometimes convenient
Cons
- Noisy intersection. Construction, loud music, traffic right outside
- Open office floor plan = noisier inside the space too
- Nearby neighborhood is seedy. Less safe walking around at night, doesn’t feel like you can stay late
- Less authority to customize space to our needs
- Can be hard to find meeting rooms
- Pricier at ~3600 / mo for 6 people ($500-$1000 / mo per person)
- Long term uncertainty as Momentum might decide to get rid of the place
This is the office space that Solaris liked most before they decided not to rent any coworking space.
- We could sub lease to another small team for one of the rooms?
