TL;DR
The Governance Team, serving as the brain of LXDAO, needs to conduct clear and profound research and insights on the community’s long-term planning, roadmap, and narrative. By exploring minimal and automated governance, the team aims to continuously optimize governance efficiency, thereby enhancing the overall experience of community members.
During the previous S10 cycle, the Governance Team optimized the community meeting system, governance voting mechanisms, and implemented multiple governance SOPs to promote minimal governance. It also refined the process for forming virtual teams and project initiation, revamped the Handbook, and further advanced the community incentive system.
In S11, the Governance Team will continue to promote minimal governance and gradually transition towards automation. It will refine narrative discussions, complete the Handbook revision, and maintain active observation and participation in international ecosystem governance.
The Governance Team will request a total budget of 16,800 LXPU from the community for S11.
S10 Governance Work Review
What We Did in S10
- Collaborate with Unco to host a Narrative Brutality Co-Learning session, fostering a community atmosphere of narrative discussions.
- Advance the LXDAO governance roadmap and update the Handbook accordingly.
- Enhance participation in international ecosystem governance by introducing a Governance Observation Weekly Report during weekly meetings, encouraging community discussions on governance.
- Optimize the initiation process and classification system for virtual teams and projects. Develop a transparent and comprehensive governance system for applications, voting, sub-treasuries, and disclosures.
- Minimal Governance: Streamline governance processes such as accounting, multi-treasury management, and salary disbursement, with the Governance Team responsible for statistics, public reporting, and disbursement.
- Community Incentive Plan: Implement retrospective incentives for the community and early contributor incentive systems.
Areas for Improvement
- The community’s governance engagement has significantly declined, with lower voter turnout.
- Observations of external international ecosystem governance events remain insufficient.
