You can call me Luke. I'm a User Experience Designer with 5 years of experience, based in Kelowna, BC. I have a passion for research-informed design and a penchant for process and collaboration. For almost a decade, I've been working with small to mid-size teams in fast-paced, on-site, and remote work environments.
User Experience offers a proven-to-work toolkit for building customer trust and delight*.* If you know which methods to use and when to use them*,* UX is a swift, practical, and cost-effective process. In fact, catching a design flaw in the early stages of UX is 100 times cheaper than discovering it later on.
I started my UX journey working in visual and interaction design, later developing my research and strategy toolkit with the help of a 5 month course with Springboard Education, and some talented mentors (1)(2). Since 2014 I've been working on UI and UX projects, big and small.
In that time I've delivered results. I've developed research findings that validated and invalidated features for soon-to-launch products. I've implemented content strategy that has eliminated corporate strains. And I've collaborated with business and development teams to turn impossible projects into possible ones.
Before UX, I worked for years designing visuals for digital experiences. So while I prioritize usability and delight, I craft designs that are clean, beautiful, and consistent.
