The Initiative
During the past year or so, the Ljubljana meetups kinda disappeared from our schedules. With most of our day-to-day life sorta turned upside down, the “regular” meetups you could find around Ljubljana got also affected.
There is no doubt that the Ljubljana (and Slovenia 🇸🇮) tech community has enough people with different areas of interest, knowledge, and experience. You’d probably find someone with similar passion, problems, or interests within a short distance 🙂. Meetups are the best place and opportunities to do so.
With public gatherings becoming a challenge, it is a real surprise that we, as the tech community, did not embrace the remote meetups. It might be that no one actually wants to spend an extra hour on their computer after just working a good part of the day on it, or there might be other reasons. All in all, most of this comes up every now and then in our conversations, but you know how it is - what can you as an individual do about it 🤷...
Well, it turns out if you complain long and loud enough, you can... 😅
A couple of months ago, we were given the opportunity to bring the meetups back and challenge ourselves to get them to the next level.
Easier said than done 😓... yet, nonetheless, a challenge we decided to accept.
We hope to rekindle this passion in all of us, so we can all be a part of the Ljubljana Tech Community!
