Understanding that the biggest dynamic between Nigerians and Nigerians in diaspora is the need to send, receive, and exchange different currencies, the team set out to build Moniwave.
Moniwave is a fintech solution that allows people to get multiple wallets in different currencies like NIG Naira, US Dollars, GB Pounds, etc. We had to build a fintech solution that allows users to send, receive, spend, and exchange currency all in one place. We needed to create a one-stop shop for anything related to sending and receiving money from a friend, office, or family member to instantly convert or exchange currency at their rate while also having access to their funds via a card so they could make online payments.
Moniwave is a solution that allows people send and receive money into their wallet also users send money to users on the platform for free instantly via p2p and also exchange money to different currency at their own rate.
Being in control of ones finance is one things most people look for in a fintech solution as well as easy of use with low fees. People still struggle to find the best way to get assign to foreign currency wallets that offers sending, receiving, exchanging as well as being able to make payment all and it is simple, fast and secure.
My role on the project was to work as a sole Product Designer as well Head of Product and as such, I was involved in the end to end design process from initial research to high-fidelity designs as well as manage developers and bank partners.
The goal of this project's research phase was to gather information about how people currently send, receive, and exchange money in different currencies, as well as the deficiencies in their processes. The research process assisted me in exploring potential user personas and ideal user flows for various parts of the app.
