• I don't require them (closed captions), but I prefer them. I use them for streaming video and (when available) DVD.
• I recall them during dialog heavy scenes where players can't do anything other than watch the sequence.
• The Houston space your was the most recent. They have a VR tour thing with cc.
• Bad bunny is the most recent (360 video) that comes to mind.
• It depends. I think reading [dog barks outside] is far more beneficial than [rock song plays]. I suspect most D/deaf and HH people will agree.
• For other things, I think haptics might be good, but there'd need to be some onboarding so people understood the context. As an example, though, a haptic pattern in a thriller or horror movie to convey a mood, like heart palpitations or whatever.
