I require captions in.. everything with audio, music, and sound
Captions in games.. First, they're hard to find. Quest doesn't make it easy to find captioned apps and games. Second, they're not all readable like in the example shared in this survey that had white with black outline. It needs a dark background. Some are sickening because they move like in Anne Frank House. Some captions are transparent, which are painful because it's hard to read. Captions in virtual environments.. They're often not readable or comfortable (motion sickness). And there aren't many that have captions.
The other method is how some games do it -- they provide on-screen text for all dialog. Moss does this well. Another example is Cook-Out. It doesn't have captions, but all instructions (dialog) appear in on-screen text.
