Information we collect from you

When you use HCAI, we collect certain pieces of information. This includes information you provide to us, data we collect automatically, and information we receive from other sources.

All uses of HCAI

• IP address

If you’re signed in

• A unique Slack ID used to refer to your individual account
• Your preferred name, as set on your Hack Club Account
• Your email address
• Whether you are 18 or under
• Any API keys you create

If you’re making an API request

For calls to /v1/chat/completions or /v1/embeddings:

• Request and response bodies. We store these to prevent abuse (see below)
• IP addresses correlated to each request log.
• The model used (e.g. qwen/qwen-32b)
• How many ‘tokens’ were used for the input and AI output
