2. Annual Review & Planning

Annual Review & Planning (Template)

The Annual Review & Annual Planning process gives you a system for reflecting on the past year, and planning for the year ahead. This can be done at any point of the year, not just in January. This is the big one but it's extremely important because by investing a bit of time, we can capture the lessons and experiences from the past year and intentionally design what we want the next year to look like.

3. The Impact Filter

The Impact Filter (Template)

The Impact Filter is a powerful tool to clarify and focus your thinking. By being intentional, you give direction to yourself and others about exactly what you want to have happen and why, along with the success criteria. Use it to sketch out your thinking and get really clear on your idea before you share it with others. It truly is a filter — you may realize after completing The Impact Filter that you’re not “sold” on the idea, that it doesn’t make a big enough impact to change how you’re doing things now, or that the timing isn’t right. By investing 15-20 minutes to think through your idea at the beginning, you’ll save far more time than if you don’t.
