The Zone is a home for your thoughts, emotions & mental health. We offer guided self-reflections with our curated writing prompts of over 300+ questions; as well as machine learning algorithms that help to extract key emotions, keywords and people that are related to your self-reflections. The following document sets forth our “Privacy Policy” which governs our use of the personal information you submit through your use of our services (the “Service”). Please read the Privacy Policy carefully.
We understand that there is a lot of information below. We have tried to make it as accessible and transparent as possible. However, if you still find that it is too dense or daunting, here are the answers to the top three questions that we are commonly asked:
What do you do with our personal information, journal entries and other data?
We don’t do anything. We encrypt your data and do not share or sell any of it with third parties. We analyze data in case of crashes, look at certain key metrics to improve the app, and see how users interact with The Zone, and nothing else. We make money by offering premium subscription services. We will also eventually do advertisements on social media and other platforms, and you may be retargeted by some ads. However, we will NEVER access your personal journal entries.
If I terminate my account does my data get erased?
Yes! Except for any crash data we might still have in the system. But we can never see anything that you journal. We are very serious about this!
How much do you cost?
The Zone is a freemium subscription service. It is free to use The Zone for the first 14 days - after which, it will be free to use the guided journalling portion of the app. In order to see your reflection analytics after the 14-day trial period, you will be required to pay. We currently have three subscription tiers:
Do note that this is charged on a recurring basis (except for lifetime tier), but you can cancel the subscription at any time if you no longer want to use the service.
