How to install Ubuntu Linux on Windows PC or Mac
There are different ways to install the Linux operating system in a device. You can run it live on your computer, without installing and making any changes in the current system. If you want to try out Ubuntu Linux or want to check whether your system is compatible or not, then you can use this method. Another method is ‘run it installed.’ If your computer is compatible then you can install the OS in your device. Here is how to get Ubuntu running in your system.
Before you start the installation steps, you need to create an installer disc or drive. If you already have an Ubuntu installer disc or flash drive, insert it in your computer and start the installation steps.
How to install Ubuntu Linux on Windows
Insert the Ubuntu installer.
Start your computer, if it is not.
Or, click on ‘Start’ > click the ‘Power’ icon > select ‘Restart’, if your PC is already on.
Press the button appearing on the screen to run the installer.
Login into your computer, if required.
Wait, Linux installation window will appear on the screen.
Language window will appear, select yours.
Then click ‘Continue’ at the bottom right side corner.
Now, click ‘Install Ubuntu’ button.
On ‘Preparing to install Ubuntu’ window, select an option.
Click the box to select the option, and then click ‘Continue.’
Select ‘Erase disk and install Ubuntu’ for installation type.
Click ‘Install Now’ button.
Click ‘Continue’.
Now, select your region.
